IALT Choose Words To Make My Writing More Interesting

We have learnt lots of interesting facts about Pukeko.
We used a word-bank to record our interesting words and then wrote about them.
We coloured in a Pukeko picture and used the QR Code Reading app "Quivervision" to bring our
Pukeko pictures to life in 3D.
We were so amazed watching our Pukeko moving around and eating a worm with their long beaks.
Next time you are in our classroom come and have a look and a play.

I like story-writing. I like to write about made up things. When I get stuck with my writing I can ask my sister to help me or I can look at my word-bank to check for the words. I am proud of my writing when I write lots of things.

It is great to see 'Ofa excited about writing. 'Ofa had always enjoyed writing and has written her aunty who lives in Saudi Arabia many times, even when she has trouble spelling a word 'Ofa will still write. Sometimes she forgets what she is writing about because she is always in a hurry so she has to re read what ever she is writing then adds on to it. Keep up the great work.'Ofa ;)

You are learning to go back and use the word-bank that we are creating to support you with your spelling and to give you extra ideas. It is also exciting to be writing together in our small writers group. Keep it up!
